| I caught up with manager David Morgan earlier today. Here are his thoughts! What are your thoughts on the season so far?The season has progressed nicely and we have recovered well from two consecutive defeats to Croesyceiliog and Dinas Powys in October and now are unbeaten in 7 league outings including victories away at both Goytre United and Afan Lido as well as victory over Bryntirion at home. All three are chasing promotion and the three victories coupled with the wins against Garw and Pontypridd and the draws with Cwmbran Town and Newport YMCA have very much got your season back on track. We are nicely placed in fourth with 19 games to play and within four points of the lead.What signings have you made in the January transfer window? More to come? Whos left / leaving?I am delighted that we have captured Carl Jenkins from Welsh Premier League Neath Athletic, Rikki Evans from our youth team and are awaiting transfer clearance for Anthony Waters from Cwmaman Institute. It is highly unlikely that there will be any other additions to the squad. I have allowed Atif Bashir to join Haverfordwest of the Welsh Premier League and expect that Dan Marshall will also be leaving the club for pastures new. However on the latter I am disappointed with the behaviour of the club involved and more disappointed with the player for the way the situation has been handled.Looking forward to the rest of the season- what are your hopes for it?Really excited about the rest of the season, we are very much still in the hunt for the League title with 19 games to go and with the exciting prospect of a Welsh Cup tie in North Wales next month. I am confident that the squad of players that I have at the club are capable of achieving this season as soon as they start to believe in themselves, testament of that was the outstanding second half performance at Afan Lido. |
